Drupal to WordPress Migration

Drupal 7 support ended. Your website shouldn't run on borrowed time.

Since January 2025, Drupal 7 gets no security updates, no bug fixes, and no community support - every month on it adds risk. We migrate websites from every Drupal version to WordPress: content mapped and moved without loss, and an admin panel your team will finally enjoy using.

What you get

What you get when you work with us

01 Security

Off the unsupported platform.

An end-of-life CMS is an open invitation: known vulnerabilities, no patches coming. Migration to WordPress puts you back on software that's actively maintained, with security updates arriving on schedule.

02 Editing

An admin panel non-technical people can use.

Drupal's learning curve is famous for a reason. WordPress's dashboard isn't - your content team edits pages, publishes posts, and manages media without a developer on standby.

03 Data

Nothing lost in transit.

We analyze your Drupal content types, map them to WordPress structures, and verify the result page by page. Articles, users, files, taxonomies - it all arrives.

04 Future

Updates that stop being projects.

Major Drupal upgrades have historically meant migrations of their own - paid, planned, repeated. WordPress maintains backward compatibility, so staying current is routine maintenance, not a budget line.

How it works

Mapped first, moved second.

Plan & map

Drupal's flexible content model is exactly why these migrations need real planning - and why we start there.

  • A clear migration plan covering every step from export to launch.
  • Analysis of your content types, fields, and taxonomies, mapped to clean WordPress structures.
  • New site built on Gutenberg and our own custom theme-and-plugin starter - modern tooling and clean coding standards throughout.

Migrate & launch

Then the move itself - tested, verified, and launched only when you've approved it.

  • Content, users, and media migrated with verification at every stage.
  • Full testing pass: links, forms, redirects, and the details migrations usually miss.
  • Deployment to your server, admin accounts configured, and a walkthrough of your new dashboard.
Why Coditive

We've done the hard kind of migration.

Drupal migrations are structurally messy: nested content types, custom fields, taxonomy webs that grew for a decade. After 15+ years of WordPress development we know exactly what those structures should become on the other side - and we specialize in migrating from all versions of Drupal, not just the end-of-life ones.

01

To be fair: modern Drupal is capable software. But if every major upgrade costs like a migration, moving once to WordPress is usually the better economics.

02

Design choice is yours - replicate the current site pixel for pixel, or use the move for a refresh.

03

SEO handled: URL mapping, redirects, and metadata carried over so rankings survive.

04

White-label available for agencies retiring their clients' Drupal estates.

Client feedback

Trusted with the projects that can't go wrong twice.

Teams that migrate are usually fixing a past decision - they're rightly careful about who they pick next.

We're still on Drupal 7. How urgent is this really? +

Honestly: more urgent every month. Support ended in January 2025, so new vulnerabilities go unpatched while automated attacks keep scanning for exactly your setup. The site won't stop working tomorrow - but the risk only compounds, and migrating under pressure after an incident costs more than migrating on your schedule.

Do you migrate from Drupal 8, 9, or 10 too? +

Yes - all versions. Newer-Drupal clients usually migrate for different reasons: the admin learning curve for content teams, and major upgrades that keep costing like projects. Both go away on WordPress.

Will my content, users, and files all transfer? +

Yes. We map your content types, fields, and taxonomies to WordPress structures, migrate users and media along with them, and verify everything against the original before launch. No data loss is a project requirement, not a hope.

Can the site look exactly the same afterward? +

Your choice. We can replicate the current design pixel for pixel, or treat the migration as the moment for a redesign. Most Drupal 7 sites are old enough that clients pick the refresh - but it's genuinely optional.

What about our search rankings? +

Protected by plan: URL mapping, 301 redirects for anything that changes, and metadata carried over. Search engines experience a continuous site.

How long does the migration take? +

Depends on the size and complexity of your content model - simple sites take weeks, large multi-taxonomy platforms take longer. The migration plan we prepare includes a concrete timeline before you commit.

How does pricing work? +

Fixed price, quoted after we review your Drupal site. Migrations are well-defined projects, so you get one number, not an open meter. Payments in USD, EUR, or PLN.
